Beadiful Shell Window
Hanger
This is one
of Serenas favourite crafts!! They look so good hanging in the window for the
sun to reflect the coloured beads.
With this
craft you will need shells (some of ours were found but most were bought!),
Strong holding glue, bead/marble caps, beads, bead spacer, fishing line, plyers
and drift wood (most of the beads, spacers and beads caps I bought off eBay)
I sorted out
to find the best bead/marble cap that suited the shells
I threaded a
tiny bead onto the fishing wire then threaded it through the bead cap, followed
by another tiny bead.
Now I
fastened them together with a bead spacer
Next I glued
it onto the shells leaving plenty of fishing line for threading on beads.
We waited
over night for the glue to dry
The fun bit
starts now!!
Serena
started threading on beads
To leave a
‘gap’ between each group for beads she threaded on a bead spacer and flattened
it with plyers
The next
bead she used was a little one so it can’t slip over the flattened spacer
Serena kept
threading on beads to a length that she wanted
Now to put
it on the drift wood we threaded a spacer bead onto the fishing line then
looped it back through
Then we
threaded the stick through the loop and flattened the spacer bead to keep it in
place
Cutting off
the excess fishing line
Wow doesn’t
it look good!!
Serena kept
doing the above step until she was happy with the amount lengths (or got sick
of threading!! Lol)
Nearly
finished!!
To attach
the hanger I looped the fishing line around each end of the stick twice
Now she can
hang it up
I think that they look the best hanging up in a
window (the photo doesn’t do it justice)
