Bright Dreams (Catchers)

 

This is our take on the latest craze with dream catchers!!

 

Very easy and fun to make. All you need is a doily, ring, scrap material, permanent markers and rubbing alcohol

 

The first step is to decorate the doily with the permanent markers

Now using the rubbing alcohol and eye dropper, drop droplets onto the colours – watch the colours spread and blend!!

When covered the whole doily hang it up to dry

 

 

While the doily is drying collect your scrap material and cut/tear it into many strips!!  

 

Using one of the strips (and a bit of glue to start it of) wrap it around your ring firmly

 

Now hand sew the doily into the centre of the ring

To tie on the long material strips I folded them in half threaded through a gap between the doily and ring

Then looped it through itself

I repeated that until I felt that there was enough

Lastly I trimmed the material strips to make a downward point

 

I am so please with the results, the photos don’t do it justice as it just looks so stunning hanging up!!
