Upcycle Collared Shirt to Singlet Top

Within an hour you can have a new from old shirt!! This would be great to make from an old mens shirt too!!
 

It was a very easy process to upgrade-upcycle this old daggy shirt into a singlet/tank top.

The first step was to cut off the collar

Front and back

Now the sleeves. (I cut a little extra off the back of the shirt as I liked the look of a shaped back)

 As the shirt was a little big I then took in the side seams

 

 

Now I overlocked all the raw edges. Arm holes and neckline

 Now fold the overlocked edge and pin into place

 

 The final step is to straight stitch the pinned edges!!

 Done
