Rolling Bead Game/Puzzle

Rolling Bead Game/Puzzle

Serena my little crafter made this little game/puzzle herself. It was so good that I simply had to blog it!!

I didn’t get any step by step photos as I didn’t know she was creating anything, but here are the instruction on how she made it!!

First she found an old lid from an empty Salsa jar

Next she cut out a circle of thick cardboard to fit neatly inside the Salsa lid, then drew a picture onto it - the crocodile!! (she is a bit embarrassed about her drawing BUT she does still have her broken finger and all in all I think that she did an amazing job!!)

Serena then draw 7 circles followed by punching hole into them

Following that she cut out another circle from the lid of an old Chinese container. This was to place on top of the game/puzzle

Serena found some beads for an old broken bracelet she had and put them into the game/puzzle

The last step was to sticky tape the Chinese lid to the top!!

How easy and fun is that!!

Eraser Clay

Eraser Clay

I didn’t know that this clay existed!! Its clay that you bake and turns it into an eraser!!

I bought mine off eBay for about $20

We had lots of fun spending the afternoon moulding the clay into heaps of different shapes and animals
You need to kneed the clay first to soften it than let your imagination go!!

Once you have made all your critters place then on an oven tray

Now simply bake them in a moderate oven for 7-10 minutes. I might have over cooked ours a little as they are slightly harder than the average rubber, but they still work!!

Rainbow Shoes

Tie-Dye Rainbow Shoes
When walking through Target yesterday I saw these plain white shoes for only $6 !! What a bargain, so I simply had to buy them. Then I raced home to decorate them.

To ‘rainbow’ up your shoes all you need are some plain white shoes, permanent markers and rubbing alcohol

I took out the laces before I began

Then I simply draw colourful patterns

Make sure you cover the whole shoe

Now for the fun part!! I poured some rubbing alcohol into an old cup and using an eye dropper I ‘dropped’ drops onto the whole shoe

And watched the colours run/mix together. They are now so bright!!

Repeat to the other shoe

WOW!!

I very patiently waited until morning for them to dry

I so love my new fancy footwear!!

I think that they will get very well worn!!

360° Photo Frames

360° Photo Frames
(Recycle Jars!!)

I simply love these 360* photo frames. They are great for coffee tables where you can still see photos from all directions.

They are SO SIMPLE to make.

Start with old clean jars

Then spray paint the lids (inside and out)

Fine some of your favourite photos or take some new ones. (My Kids wanted to pretend to escape from the jars!!) Then print them out.
It took a little fiddling on the computer to get them the right size for the bottles before I printed them out

Now cut them to the right size for your chosen bottles

Last step was to simply put the photos into the bottles upside down and screw on the lids

Flip over the bottles, and you’re DONE!!

You can even replace the photos at any time
